Arizona Immigration Law and Businesses

Story By: Construct Corps - 4/26/2010

While the new Arizona immigration is actually nothing new, rather it calls for enforcing laws that already exist, it may put additional burden on companies to confirm that their hired employees are in fact legal to work in the United States.  Many workers hold documentation that appears to be authentic.  One can go to websites online and simply purchase high quality social security cards and drivers licenses are not provided based on citizenship.   Companies that hire low wage immigrant workers may be predisposing themselves to law enforcement inquiries if they are not careful.  A good solution is to outsource labor needs.  But even that exposes an employer to potential problems, as the new law otherwise known as SB1070, has specific language that can hold an independent contractor liable for using a subcontractor that in turn hires unauthorized workers. Using Construct Corps as your labor provider will assure that your have a legal workforce.  Construct Corps handles the entire hiring process including I-9s and also E-Verifies workers so you can rest assured that illegal immigrant issues that plague some companies will not affect yours.
