Borrell Electric- Shands Hospital
Gainsville, FL

Background
Borrell Electric, for the first time, takes on a project out of the Tampa, FL area without a workforce in the project location. They were concerned as to whether or not the project would work and wanted to rely on Construct Corps.

Need
Borrell Electric provided the supervision and required all electricians to be supplied by Construct Corps with a peak need of 140 skilled electricians.

Solution
Construct Corps placed a staff site manager in the location for 2 years until completion in order to assist in managing labor related issues. CC would provide mostly local workers on the project.

Result
Borrell Electric received some of the best reviews they have ever received. The project was profitably completed on time and with an outstanding safety record. Since, Skanska has awarded Borrell Electric two more hospitals outside its home location where Construct Corps is providing a similar service.


Edgewood Electric
Edgewood, KY

Background
Edgewood Electric performs projects nationwide where at times they have no local workforce.

Need
At times they are in need of specialized capabilities in the Industrial sector at locations were a restricted budget only allows them to have a local workforce.

Solution
Construct Corps has recruited a local workforce for these projects in areas where the workforce is limited. Construct Corps has provided travelers and has always worked within their budgetary labor needs. Up to 25 specialized electricians on various projects in multiple locations have been provided.

Result
Construct Corps has allowed the customer to be able to take on other projects and not have to worry about their labors cost or the specific electrical trades needed.


Putnam Electric
Fort Bragg /Camp Lejune, North Carolina | Fort Sill Oklahoma

Background
Putnam Electric had been awarded several military projects on various bases and had been using another labor provider and had limited success.

Need
Their needs were for skilled electricians at a pay wage set by the low Davis-Bacon scale at which they didn't bid the project.

Solution
Construct Corps would provide local skilled electricians on all of their locations and worked within their budgeted amount.

Result
Their projects were completed on time. After hours communication was key to planning ahead on their labor needs. Some projects only allowed the project manager to contact Construct Corps late in the evenings and on weekends. The CC assigned rep assisted them 24/7 with all labor needs. Construct Corps completed all projects, turned in certified payroll on time and accurately.


BMS CAT
Hurricane Katrina, New Orleans, LA | Floods, Nashville, TN

Background
BMS Catastrophe is a worldwide disaster response company that are called upon to clean up and repair disasters from floods, hurricanes, tornados, fire, etc.

Need
Construct Corps was called to provide labor for clean up help at the Belle Chasse Naval Air Station after Hurricane Katrina and the floods in Nashville, TN.

Solution
Construct Corps provided 30 laborers and a remote management team to assist with all labor needed for the Hurricane Katrina clean up. Because of our ability to manage and provide legal, qualified workers at a military installation on short notice, Construct Corps ended up providing 250 laborers along with approximately 100 skilled workers.

Result
Construct Corps took over all labor related needs on the Hurricane Katrina project because the other labor companies contracted did not qualify their workers correctly. Because of the quality workers and a response time of 12 hours or less, Construct Corps is called to all of BMS CAT high profile projects nationwide. For the Nashville floods, CC provided 1200 skilled and unskilled workers, working 7 days a week 12 hour days for 7 weeks straight at multiple major commercial locations.





Middle River Decon Site BP/USES
Slidell, Louisiana

Background
The worst oil spill disaster in U.S history. Construct Corps was called upon to assist in the oil spill recovery efforts and as a result was assigned responsibilities in simultaneous multiple locations including an entire decontamination site.

Need
BP/USES had a need for Construct Corps to manage and recruit a local workforce with certified Hazwoper Training with capabilities in performing decontamination work on oil soaked booms.

Solution
Construct Corps assigned a full time management team based in Slidell, LA. The management team consisted of leadership, admin and support along with full time OSHA trainer to be able to train and manage the local workforce with the certification needed to place 85 recovery techs along with 8 foreman.

Result
Middle River Decon was documented as the most efficient well organized decon site, with the best safety record for the entire spill incident.


Insul Con
Fort Stuart, GA

Background
Insul Con performed a project during the holidays and did not want to hire internally with a 3 week need for a pipe insulating project.

Need
The need was for 3 pipe insulators on a project in Atlanta, GA.

Solution
Construct Corps recruited local pipe insulators

Result
Customer kept the workers on this project for approximately 3 months and peaked out at 8 pipe insulators. Once the project was completed, they moved the workers to another location. Customer also made contact to his other branches and Construct Corps provided personnel on several other projects with as many as 19 pipe insulators per project.


Southern Power and Controls
VA Hospital/Brasfield and Gorrie, Orlando, FL

Background
Southern Power and Controls have utilized labor companies in the past and have been hesitant on using labor companies on high profile projects and out of town projects. They are based in Tampa, Florida and have a desire to perform work statewide as well as nationwide.

Need
They were awarded a VA Hospital project in Orlando, FL which calls for specifically trained and experienced individuals as well as certified payroll to be accurate and on time. The original need was 5 electricians for about 2 years.

Solution
Construct Corps provided them with 5 electricians and are currently meeting and administering all federal guide lines for them.

Result
Construct Corps currently has 30 electricians working with them on this project. Taking on all their labor needs has allowed Southern Power to focus more on the management of the project. The result was they found change orders on this project that they would not have ordinarily found. Earning their trust has resulted in them ordering more electricians on an additional project at MacDill AFB in Tampa.


ModSpace
Houston Branch

Background
ModSpace Houston Branch had a need for a supervisor and personnel to assist on their trailer refurbish project.

Need
Their needs were carpenters, carpenter helpers, labors and a site supervisor.

Solution
Resumes were provided to the ModSpace manager so he could interview the supervisor and CC provided carpenters and labors at the budget rate. Additionally provided an onsite CC manager to facilitate.

Result
After assessing the supervisors performance, the Construct Corps/ModSpace site manager determined the current ModSpace hired supervisor should be replaced. The supervisor was replaced with a CC hired supervisor at a lower cost and better skill set. The new supervisor along with CC/ModSpace site manager are performing at the level of production the branch needed.
